Benitez’s Barry attack

Rafa Benitez became famous in the media after his ‘FACTS‘ attack on Sir Alex last season, and this time, after officially unveiling Glen Johnson as a Liverpool player, he has launched an attack on midfielder Gareth Barry, who joined Manchester City recently.

Benitez accuses him of joining City for the money instead of joining a club challenging for the title. As far as I know, almost every player does this nowadays, money is the name of the game.

If we consider Benitez’s view, then I’m sure Sir Alex Ferguson also should have attacked Karem Benzema, because he shunned Manchester United for Real Madrid, and even Carlos Tevez who wasn’t satisfied with the weekly salary being proposed…

Benitez is pretty much an idiot who shouldn’t open his mouth.
I had a bit of a rant about his claim that the transfer market has gone “crazy” this summer. Yes it has, but having payed £17m for Glen Johnson and having spent lavishly for many years now, he’s hardly in a position to complain about it.

Find it here if you’re interested.

I like your article adam! Its very true that Rafa’s been spending cash on Kuyt, Dossena, Arbeloa, Insua, and a whole bunch of players who are playing out of position now or have left the club! Plus if you look at the spine of the club, its made of Carragher, Gerrard and Torres, and only Torres was bought. I’m with you on this one!

dont forget just before the barry interview, he laid guilt trips on both xabi alonso and javier mascherano when he told the press that both players “owe it to liverpool to stay at the club”.

omg he pretty much claimed that he ‘discovered’ Xabi Alonso, which is so not true! And he also pretty much said Mascherano was going to rot at West Ham. Again, so not true, because everyone knew he would leave them the moment he came, whether he did well or not!

any visits/comments would be greatly appreciated.

i think ppl are way to quick to jump on barry – would you not take that money to move to a club with such high potential? id take a lot less.
