Getafe Kit a Celebration… Literally

August 12, 2009
by Andrew Santos

Like some football fans, I have a pretty good collection of football kits hanging in my closet. Most of them bought to display my allegiance to United, some just used for training and a handful acquired as gifts. There are some that has meaning too, like my vNistelrooy shirt that always get the attention of Dutch girls(I mean really, works like a charm!) or the Cantona top I wore at Old Trafford. I also had a Kaka Brazil shirt that I eventually sold because I could not get myself to wear it after he tore United apart in the European Cup in 2007. It was either sell it or light it on fire, I figured I might as well make money off a Meeelan fan.

Anyhow, I must say that five out of the seven days of the week, you’ll probably catch me sporting a football top. But last night, I found a football shirt that I simply must have! If you haven’t seen the full details of Getafe’s new top, then you must check it out. It is the perfect kit for your afternoon kickabouts in the park! It even comes in a BK bag with an instruction manual!

I’m like you Andrew. Or at least was. I used to have every kit in the world in my wardrobe and even used to make little teamsheets and then go into my garden and play a match! Oh them were the days.

But nah, Getafe’s new kit isn’t my cuppa tea i’m afraid. I’m not a fan of the stripe along the cross and the colours are too bright for my liking. The Red and Blue I mean.

ya have to agree with george here. the colours are a bit on the bright side. however, that burger king face print on the inside is pretty cool. never knew there was an actual burger king character.

Nah, I don’t like the kit’s actual style either… Just that clever photo inside, gives me an incentive to stick the ball into the net ;)
