Definitely not the start Everton was hoping for, but Arsenal made it look so easy.

‘Boring, Boring Arsenal’ Indeed! I will always love the irony. (:

Arsenal were sharp from the beginning. 3 goals in 11 minutes. 3 goals in the second half. Everton started their comeback at 90 minutes-if only football matches lasted 180 minutes ey?

Not much to say about the match cause the scoreline says it all, really, but what a debut for Vermaelen!

So its top of the league for Arsenal and sadly, the bottom for Everton. Definitely made my day!

I feel sorry though for crushing Everton early in the season. 6-1! Hooray for the Gunners!

although arsenal did put 6 passed everton, the story was more everton in shambles. they played like a newly promoted team.

Like I always said, Arsenal are a good side as long as they stay fit. Unfortunately the players seem to like a visit to the doc’s a little too often.

Oh, and I thought Bendtner was excellent! I hope Gunners fans take to him cos I always thought he’s a good player.

Before, Bendtner was a second striker but now he plays on the wing. We can see his talent there but if he plays in the centre forward, no chance. Theo Walcott should be the striker. I’m a gooner but I think Bendtner is better played as winger.

wllmhll: you know me. I couldnt resist changing the focus to a great arsenal scoreline. 6 goals in one game? Doesnt come often :P

glamourousdiss: Ive always been a fan of Bendtner but I feel his only problem is his inconsistency. I know everyone has their off days, but his off days come at the wrong moments and over shines his quality. Can be a bit frustrating to the fans :)

Aris: I completely agree! His talents are overshadowed when he plays the centre forward position.

Haha Im not afraid to say Im a manu fan. But as far as EPL goes, I know if I dint support Manu, Arsenal would be a close Second. Happy they won, as far as the big four goes, we will be better off without pool or chelsea =/

Well its all about consistency which they (Arsenal) lack, I could bet that Hull city would beat Arsenal home and away…They play well against the big clubs and succumb to smaller inferior teams..If only they can keep the winning streak against smaller teams and shrug it off with the bigger teams..then they might just have a chance to come second just behind Manchester United..yea..thats because i am a huge fan of manchester….
    Up ManU

With respect to the Man U fans, The Gunners will play against Man U in less that 2 weeks and I wish the best of luck for both of our beloved teams.

Louis Saha grabbed a consolation goal in injury time, I think that’s fair enough to give something for their fans.

Actually Martin raises a good point. They seem to have problems with the smaller teams. But I think it’s also to do with the fact these smaller teams like to kick and tackle their way into a game, which contributes to my point abt the Gunners visiting the docs too often.

I was quite pleased to see Eduardo back among the goals though! My only hope is that Eduardo, Bendtner, and everyone else has an off day in the North London derby haha.

Everton’s defending was in shambles. Baines was awful, and Lescott and Yobo were nowhere at the level they should have been. Goal number two, three and five should never have been conceded in the first place.

How can you say Bendtner is any good? He’s absolute tosh. I’ve watched Arsenal so many times, especially last season and every time has was awful. I can’t see how he’s playing for a team as good as Arsenal, and I’ve no idea why AC Milan showed an interest.

I think Sven and the boys at County should get involved and take him to Meadow Lane ’cause that’s just about where he belongs.

Brilliant football by the gunners, a team which almost everyone forgot about when talking who will win the league this season, and what a reminder they sent to all teams out there

Martin: If Hull city can beat the bigger teams but choke against the smaller team than that is a worse kind of inconsistency. Oh and second, is ambitious! hehe! :P

Soccer Blogger: That’s true, but arsenal has a tendency not to take their chances. Everton has always been ‘that’ team. The countless number of times we’ve lost 1-0 to them, even when they played like shit. They just get lucky against us. Im just saying, as badly as they played, theres still a chance we couldve lost.

George: The only thing I can say to that is, wenger knows best. :)

    Rite$h: I couldnt agree more :)

Fair Enough Everton weren’t playing to their usual standards…Nevertheless Credit needs to be given when credit is due…Arsenal played amazing football and ripped apart everton with their trademark attacking flair…IMO it was more their ability and attacking philosophy that led to 6-1 rather than everton’s incompetence.

Only time will tell how brilliant this arsenal side can become…In the meantime i have to say it is incredibly sweet to beat a team that reached last year’s FA Cup final,is reknowned for its defensive football and has consistently reached top 5 status on a regular basis for the last few years..all this whilst playing away too
