Man City’s gain is Arsenal’s gain

There is still a few weeks left before the transfer window shuts, the best bit of business this summer looks like a tie between; Arsenal off loading their lethargic front man, Emmanuel Adebayor and Man City acquiring the services of the tireless forward, Emmanuel Adebayor.
While both teams recorded a win, the saturday afternoon result everyone will surely be talking about would be Sparky’s charges pillaging Ewood park for 3 points and a clean sheet. The display of counter attacking verve in the buildup to the first goal is one that you would normally associate with that other team in Manchester.
Adebayor suavely picks up the ball in the center circle, feeds Shaun Wright-Phillips on the right then, just like in those youtube videos of a man trying to outrun a rhino in Africa, he speeds his way onto Wright-Phillips’s return pass on the edge of the area to score on his league debut.
The Arsenal youth brigade on the other hand appear to be mourning Emmanuel’s departure with clinical finishing, concise passing and all round cohesion.
The one player who seems to be really enjoying his football post-Adebayor is Nicklas Bendtner. After their very messy public falling out last season, you would be forgiven for expecting Wenger to ship the young Dane off to a mid-table ship but once again the astute Frenchman has confirmed that decade old Arsenal mantra – Wenger knows best.

great post. indeed, wenger DOES know best! :)
oh and we are definitely the happier bunny to be getting rid of ade.. haha!
i still say it was more everton defending poorly than the start of the second coming of arsenal’s invincible era. it was like playing pro evo against ab, you’re bound to score at least six against him.
it was like playing pro evo against ab, you’re bound to score at least six against him. And if you provide refreshments, I’d gladly surrender more ;)
