Not everyone’s favourite left back, or person for that matter, has become the world’s highest paid left back.
Ashley Cole has signed a new contract with Chelsea worth £120,000-a- week. Cole has been linked with moves to Barcelona and Real Madrid this summer, and Roman Abramovich was keen not to lose his left back and handed the defender the £25million contract.
One day Cheryl Tweedy will get half of that.
Its the only reason why I see Cheryl still superficially married to him!

A little overrated but he does play with all his heart when at Chelsea unlike in the England squad, so may be Abramovich deemed he deserved a rise in cash
hes one of the best left backs in the world imho, but hes still a wank.
Cashley Cole has been going downhill ever since he left the gunners, in my opinion Gael Clichy has risen to the top of the world in terms of left backs.
Gael Clichy is better than Cashley Cole and Kieran Gibbs is rising to be the best left for England.
Definitely Evra, then Lahm with Cashley third. I think Clichy is a year or two away from overtaking the lot though. He would be scary once his full potential is met.
I do admire Patrice Evra and Cashley Cole if I was a professional footballer. The conclusion is that Evra is tougher and faster than Clichy. Gael Clichy will be the best left back in the world in few years.
