what i’m saying, in respect of your opinion, is that it is based on a choice. we all possess the choice whether to be outraged or not. what i was sayin by chill the f**k out, is to, as rob mentioned, have a little perspective before releasing all this ‘outraged in arsenal’ rage.

for the most part, hooliganism excluded, fans in a football ground are self policing. we are all sons, fathers brothers and husbands. we, as a societal subculture, have an inbuilt moral compass, just as we all do in the real world. because a football ground, for those 90 mins, is NOT the real world. its a escape. thats the point. in the real world, in your life away from football, do you shout and scream and yell yourself hoarse at the actions of a certain 11 men and a leather bound ball? no. none of us do, unless we are on pro evo or something. football takes us away from the real world gives us hopes and dreams and fears. goosebumps and cheers.

but, despite the escape from reality, we all still have our consciences. that is what polices grounds and fans. there is the odd exception by a tiny minority, ref Munich 58 and Hilsborough. but that’s mocking the dead and injured…….a whole world away from wenger and that contraversial chant.

But its for those 90 odd mins, and on the way home in the car/coach/boat/plane. then it finishes. im sure wenger dreams sweetly at night, and im sure united fans, and fans everywhere, do too, given none of what they have heard a second thought….it was only at the football after all.

…except I can’t see them getting a CL spot, honestly. If any team will finish 4th, it’ll be liverpool. Hughes acts more in awe of his ‘superstar’ players than as a man in charge. Wantaway players can’t be helped; we cashed in, and the dressing room is the better for it.

I agree i dont think arsenal are far away, but its still a million miles if you do not decide to buy for the right positions..look what arshavin has added..great buy. I totally agree with having an aggressive youth policy but it cant be the be all and end all. You also cant lose Toure and Adebayor and not replace them. Not when the squad is thin as it is. The Gunners will beat most as usual, will do well in the Champions League, but if thats ok for you Gooners and youre satisfied with that level, then fine. I think City are gonna push hard for a top 4 place this year…a fifth place finish will see the end of Wenger i think.

This is all a classic case of perspective : Matthew seems too possess this, whereas Minttea does not. Sticks and stones may break my bones blah blah blah

The best place to answer all of this is on the pitch. Wenger needs to get his shit together and get his team winning..not just with his pansy passing game but with a bit of steel and grit as well. I find it crazy that Gooners are happy with things at the moment..and by moment, i mean the last 5 years.
