CR7..erm..9 has revealed his (sort of) undying passion for Manchester United in a recent interview, in-spite of him now playing for Spanish giants Real Madrid

RooneyRonaldoWhen asked about his former employer Ronaldo commented:

”Every time I can I try to watch United’s games on television. I still like to know what’s happening at Old Trafford. And despite being at Real I’m always happy when I know when United have won.”

Cristiano also had great words of encouragement for his compatriot and buddy Nani:

I’ve also seen that Nani is playing much more than he was last season when I was there. That’s good for him and he will benefit from that. Now he has more opportunities to play, he will be able to show the fans just how a great player he is. We still speak regularly on the phone. And it’s good to see United’s fans are starting to appreciate him more and have been happy with his form up until now. Nani is an excellent player. There’s a lot more to come from him and I’m sure that in a few years he will be among the best players in the world.”

Nani’s form has been mixed as ever this season, though there has also been signs of improvement at times. Ronaldo recently broke a Madrid record, becoming the first player to score in all of his first four games for the club in La Liga

He’s right about Nani. I’d add he’s starting to have chances and improve since CR9 is in Madrid. He took his place – United can’t have two wingers like them in the starter team, but only one.

Jury is out on Nani, but if he doesnt improve fast he is out. Id prefer to see Alexi Sanchez at the club on the wing. Interesting to see how good this Obertan is…

Of course I’d prefer Alexis too!! LOL!!! He’s much better than Nani. Wait, don’t you have to sign him first?

Allegedly we have first option on every player on the planet, so Alexis will be ours. Then we can sell him to Real for £120m in three years time

HAHAHAHA good one Rob. But listen, I’ll tell you some names you don’t have any options on: Lionel Messi, Andrés Iniesta, Xavi Hernández :P
