Sir Alex puts Evans in marital ‘trouble’

According to an article from the DailyMail, Sir Alex had some fun when Jonny Evans attended a press conference with the gaffer yesterday before the  Champions League match today vs. Wolfsburg, along with his girlfriend, Kate, in the audience as she is on work placement with ITV.

Sir Alex was talking about Rooney’s marriage and how it benefited the striker, with Evans listening attentively beside him. However, when the press then turned their attention to young Jonny, and asked him about his own marital status, to which he replied:

I really don’t want to talk about it, especially as my girlfriend is sitting in the middle of you all.

‘She is on a work placement with ITV this week.

Sir Alex seized the opportunity to hammer the nail home while everyone was looking at the embarassed Kate by saying:

Get him tied down, dear, rings are cheap now.

Poor Jonny and Kate, while Sir Alex was having a nice laugh in the end :)
