Sir Alex in Refs’ trouble

Sir Alex has driven himself into big trouble with the Referees Association as well as with the FA after he branded Alan Wiley ‘unfit’ following the draw against Sunderland at Old Trafford on Saturday, and they are now looking to scalp him.
Sir Alex was ranting about Wiley, quoted as:
It took him at least 30 seconds every time he booked a player and I think that was because he wanted to take a rest
But ProZone, which is responsible for gathering all stats during a match, shows that Wiley had in fact covered more distances than most players of both teams, which was 6.86 miles, a figure which only four United and three Sunderland players managed to surpass.
After Sir Alex’s attacks on the ref, the latter was thinking about quitting his profession, but other refs (former & current ones) changed his mind, and now as the stats proved Sir Alex wrong, the FA has got involved as well, and is now demanding explanations from the United manager, who in the process if found guilty may be banned from the sidelines for some games.
Surprising news, but we all know that he won’t be banned. He’ll never be. He’s more powerful than FA’s president, I’d say even than the whole FA.
The level of intimidation that we see towards match officials from manager’s and their assistants became unacceptable a long time ago. The authorities have turned a blind eye far to often.
Someone (The FA, PL, FIFA) should get a grip, pronto but an official either walks out of the game, cracks up, or simply sticks a fist on the nose of the ranting face in front of him.
Diego’s right – a fine probably for SAF. The authorities have no cajones.
I heard today the rant may have been strategic; Sir Alex pulling pressure off his players for another goal in “Man Utd time.” And some other reason, but I can’t remember what.
But the point was that SAF wasn’t acting on complete emotion.
His ranting is always strategic. Next time they have that Referee a little tiny bit of him will (perhaps subconsciously) try to avoid further confrontation with SAF and will let things go their way if their is the tiniest scrap of doubt. SAF strikes fear into the hearts of all officials and he has way too much power. He’s a downright bully even if he is a great manager. Should he keep getting away with this. Bring back Collina, I would love to see him stare down Sir Alex, the only referee who ever looked as if he was in charge.
I doubt Mr. Wiley will be fooled by the tossers Jedi mind tricks any more, as if he was in the 1st place.
In fact, after this latest outburst by the tosser, I think you will see all Refs mark him and just wait for anything they can send him to the stands for. he has crossed the line.
It’s one thing to criticize a Refs decision regarding fouls n such on the pitch but to make it personal towards Mr. Wiley the way the tosser did, is way off the respect campaign
Some say its to give the pundits something other to talk about rather then the red shites crap form they been in recently, blah blah blah… I hope they nail em to the cross so many hold him up on!
Alas it seems indeed he went too far this time, some refs and associations are demanding for him to be banned from his managerial role as well, he’s in deep sh*t this time
Yep – he’s gone too far this time. Even if the authorities wimp out on handing out a stiff sentence, his card will be marked by just about every PL ref and assistant in the land.
