Also, that cuddly bear looking American fellow has given you an extra twenty mil, that he said he will give you for transfers every year. Yes…that makes £100m on potential transfers.
So who would you buy? This is of course a bit of fantasy. It doesn’t have to be real. You could blow it all on one player, but you’d have to explain your actions to the press! (or the WDKF readers in this case!!) And of course any player you want WILL come to Old Trafford, and there is no di$khead like Peter Kenyon to balls things up like he did with Ronaldinho when we had him in a straitjacket at a Paris airport, only to accidentally ship him to Barcelona because he didn’t want to pay about 10p more to Paris St Germain. Whatever.

£10 million on Akinfeev, £35m on David Villa, £28m on Luca Modric and £17m on Alexi Sanchez
Now don’t tell me those four being added to our squad would not scare the life out of most teams?

Villa would give us goals, Sanchez would be potent from wide areas, Modric would replace Scholes long term and Akinfeev would keep Ben Foster warming the bench forever

I think that 80M has gone into repaying debts the club has, else new players would have already been bought in August itself, but still am hoping to see a new keeper and a left winger, Akinfeev and Silva in mind here, but only Sir Alex knows who he will buy in January or next summer.
The Glazers have stated that the Ronaldo transfer fee will not be used to pay off any debt as the loan is structured against operating profits and not player transfers. They have said that Ferguson has access to the fee plus the £20m annual transfer budget they give him…but Fergies a tight Scotsman..he wont just blow the money
United did get Owen + Valencia + Obertan in last transfer window, but Owen came for free, while add Valencia and Obertan’s price is about 20M

Interesting point about Ozil. Could be a cheaper alternative to Modric. And he only has a year on his deal come this summer so i think Werder may have to accept less than £20m..thats unless City want him where they will get £30m instead. Also he could be Germany’s star of the world cup.
Rio has made two mistakes this season, both ending in goals…just a bit of bad luck and lack of match fitness. He will be fine (kiss of death for Rio now that is..think i did the same for Calamity Foster)
