Russell Brand Sings West Ham Songs on American National TV!

Russell Brand was without doubt created to scare the life out of Americans
A narcissistic former smackhead Essex boy, with a rude Victorian English mouth, whose hair has its own persona, passport and facebook page. He is without doubt the UK’s Mr Marmite..you either love him or hate him.
So someone told me to check out Mr Brand on a recent American TV chat show called Late Night With Jimmy Fallon..now of course, this show means nothing to the average Brit. We have Jonathon Ross and that’s about enough cheesy chat for us! But we know the Americans love it. So booking dear Old Russ must always be a tad funny.
Fallon asks Brand about his interest in football (note: Fallon says football and not soccer…one point to Jimmy) and the Brit Comic goes on to explain his love for all things West Ham. He is a season ticket holder at Upton Park, and has written an ad hoc Guardian football column sporadically over the years (which was quite brilliant i might add) The articles were turned into a book called ‘Articles of Faith’…the cover is the piccy above.
Anyway, things get on to chants and singing, and in front of the whole of America, dear Russ sings the Hammers anthem ‘I’m Forever Blowing Bubbles’
Rather amusing i might say…seeing that song sang on a mainstream US chat show!

I can’t quite figure out whether he’s gay, bi, straight or just plain nuts.
He’s certainly camp. Not your normal Hammer!
Marmite? I think you’ll probably find more people like the stuff you put on your toast or in a cheese sarnie. This bloke leaves me cold, good on him though for investing some of his cash in a club from just down the road.
Rob, can you post a link to that Guardian column?
I like Russell. His Booky Wook autobiography is a great read. He is a very articulate writer. He tries to make his comedy a tad low brow which upsets people, but i like that as well! Thought all that rubbish with Ross on the radio was blown out of all proportion.
If you Google: Russell Brand football column, loads of them pop up but heres one from 2007 that i randomly just found

Liked that, quite a clever writer isn’t he?
yeah hes a clever bloke..passionate footie fan as well
Brand should get involved as part of the consortium to buy West Ham!
