Manchester United Supporters Want Their Crisps. Now.

Eight Manchester Supporters were arrested after United’s 2-0 League Cup victory over Barnsley at Oakwell last night.  And where I don’t condone violence or mob behavior, I understand the lengths a person will go to when they just want some Walkers Salt and Vinegar Squares and are in turn asked to be patient.

Trouble began during the match as four United Supporters were arrested after a bit of violent conduct flared around half time.

Apparently, a group stormed the catering area of the ground and left the staff so scared they barricaded themselves behind closed doors as the mob helped themselves to the deliciousness of Walkers crisps and cash from the tills.

Meanwhile, several Barnsley supporters invaded the pitch, bringing only more chaos to the situation.

Said a South Yorkshire Police Spokesperson:

“Police and both football clubs were disappointed by the conduct of a minority of fans.  We responded quickly and effectively to a spontaneous disorder caused by a small group of people that had gathered near to the central bar on the North Stand.   Officers in protective uniform were deployed to restore order, disperse the crowd and ensure the safety of staff inside the area.”

The FA is currently investigating the situation and will review CCTV recordings and witness accounts.  All parties involved will face a life ban from live football in the UK.

I really would have to use all my good judgment not to riot for these.

Manna from heaven.

Fans like these can only bring shame to a team, those arrested are sure going to be banned from travelling when United play away

I say there needs to be more harsher penalties towards the clubs and their supporters when violence and vandalism ruins the beautiful game.

I say take 6 points away from Barnsley for the Pitch invasion, 10 points deducted from United for the vandalism, lobbing missiles at the police and just their total anti social behavior on the night
Penalties like this will hurt the team and supporters alike

It’s a good idea in theory but…I’d dress up in full Liverpool supporters gear and fake a scouse accent and start a riot if it meant my actions could punish the clubs.

Harsher punishments on the idiots who cause problems for sure.

And free Walkers squares before the match to keep people happy.

Or you would have the mindset of the crowd that would fear a points reduction take the tosser out back and deal with him themselves
Nothing is going to take these scum out of the equation unless teams supporters say enough, we don’t want this element among us and point them out
Look what happened in Italy 2 years ago…

Why do these thugs feel the need to do things like this? It’s disgraceful.
What are people’s views on Gary Neville’s red card by the way?

He deserved it, the studs were up and into the leg, even if as it looked to me, he didn’t mean it.
But then Gary has been around for years…

In America the only time the fans go nuts is when the team wins the title then it is Katie bar the door. The fans burn downtown. This is totally wrong. Ban the fans from the pitch. Play the game just between the teams. Cut beer sales off after the first half. This part of what is wrong with society. You may not want to hear this but without God this will happen. God is defined as The Bible. The Ten Commandments. Jesus. Just a few thoughts. http://bobbygee.wordpress.com/

As soon as you introduce God and the Bible into any argument, you open up a whole new debate.
